How to Respec in Elden Ring (Larval Tears)
Respec lets you rebuild Strength, Dex, Faith, or Arcane without starting a new character. You need Rennala unlocked and one Larval Tear per respec.
How Respec Works
- Defeat Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon in Raya Lucaria.
- Return to her after the fight (she remains as a rebirth NPC).
- Offer a Larval Tear to reallocate attributes.
- Your level stays the same — you only redistribute points.
Early Larval Tear Sources

| Merchants / later shops | Limited stock appears as you progress |

You do not need dozens early. One or two tears are enough to fix a bad stat spread after Stormveil.

When Beginners Should Respec
- You invested in Magic / Faith but now main a pure Strength weapon.
- You want to switch into a bleed, strength, or faith kit after finding a unique weapon.
- Your Vigor is too low and you need a clean redistribution.
