How to Beat Margit, the Fell Omen

A beginner-friendly Margit strategy for Stormveil Castle: summon tips, dagger cheese notes, and safe punish windows.

Recommended Level

• Suggested level: 20–30
• Weapon upgrade: +3 to +5 — see the smithing stones guide
• Vigor around 20+ before repeated attempts

Preparation Checklist

• Talk to Patches / explore Weeping Peninsula for levels if Stormveil feels early
• Summon Wolves or Jellyfish — see the spirit ashes guide
• Pick up Margit’s Shackle from Patches for free stance openings
• Upgrade one main weapon instead of spreading stones

Fight Strategy

1. Stay mid-range and bait cane swings; punish after the final hit.
2. Use Margit’s Shackle once or twice early to create free damage windows.
3. When he jumps with the dagger slam, dodge toward him and counter.
4. In phase two, respect holy dagger rains—sprint sideways, then re-engage.

Best Early Builds
