How to Beat Starscourge Radahn
Festival summons, safe approach angles, meteor dodge windows, and recommended weapon builds.
Recommended Level
- Suggested level: 40–70
- Weapon upgrade: +8 to +12 (or equivalent somber)
- Bring a ranged option or strong bleed for chip while summons distract
- Coming from the Academy? Use the after Rennala prep guide first
- Need rot / road tips first? See the Caelid survival guide
Festival Strategy
- Summon constantly. Use every NPC sign as it reappears—Radahn’s attention is your best defense.
- Ride Torrent. Mounted combat lets you reposition and avoid gravity arrows more easily.
- Approach from the side. Sliding under his legs or circling his flanks beats a frontal charge.
- Watch the meteor. When he vanishes into the sky, sprint sideways on horseback until he impacts.

Quick FAQ
Yes for Ranni’s questline and access to Nokron. He is optional for the main ending path, but highly recommended. After the fight, follow the after Radahn guide or the Ranni questline.
Summons can nearly solo him if you keep re-summoning and chip safely, but staying mounted and active is more consistent.
After the Festival
Once Radahn is down, a meteor opens Nokron and advances several questlines. Continue with what to do after Radahn or the Ranni questline beginner route.
