Ranni Questline — Beginner Route

A spoiler-light order for Ranni the Witch's quest. Follow the beats; talk to everyone at her tower between major steps. This path also unlocks the Age of Stars ending route.

Why Do This Quest?

Strong story rewards and a unique ending path.
Opens underground areas (Nokron and beyond) with excellent loot and runes.
Early hook overlaps with the Spirit Calling Bell at Church of Elleh.

Phase 1 — Meet Ranni Early

At night at Church of Elleh, speak to Renna (Ranni) for the Spirit Calling Bell if you have not already.
Later, reach Caria Manor in northwest Liurnia and clear through to the Three Sisters towers.
Speak to Ranni at Ranni's Rise and agree to serve — talk to Blaidd, Seluvis, and Iji afterward so their lines update.

Phase 2 — Radahn Gate

Ranni's progress eventually requires defeating Starscourge Radahn. Prep via after Rennala and Caelid survival, then finish the festival.

After Radahn, a meteor opens access toward Nokron.
Use the after Radahn guide for crater / underground entry.

Phase 3 — Nokron & Finger Slayer Blade

Enter Nokron from the meteor crater when ready for underground enemies.
Explore until you obtain the quest item Ranni needs (Finger Slayer Blade path).
Return to Ranni's Rise and hand it in — her next instructions send you deeper into the night path.

Phase 4 — Continue the Night Path

Follow the new underground / lake route she opens (Ainsel / related areas).
Keep talking to her dolls / signs when they appear — missable chats stall the line.
Expect a major story boss and key items before the ending choice becomes available much later.
You can still push Altus / Leyndell on the main path in parallel; Ranni is not a hard lock on capital progress.
