A linear beginner route from character creation through mid-game. Follow the steps in order; open each guide when you hit that beat.

Phase 1 — Setup

Make foundation choices before Stormveil.

  1. 1. Starting Class

    Vagabond or Samurai for the smoothest first run.

  2. 2. Keepsake

    Golden Seed is the safest default.

  3. 3. Early Weapon

    Pick one Limgrave weapon and upgrade it.

  4. 4. Spirit Ashes

    Unlock summons before hard bosses.

  5. 5. Map Fragments

    Reveal Limgrave / Weeping Peninsula early.

  6. 6. Flask Upgrades

    Golden Seeds and Sacred Tears before Margit.

Phase 2 — Stormveil

First major castle and great rune.

  1. 7. Beat Margit

    Stormveil gatekeeper — learn spacing and summons.

  2. 8. Beat Godrick

    First shardbearer fight.

  3. 9. Activate Great Rune

    Divine Tower + Rune Arc basics.

  4. 10. After Godrick

    Roundtable, Liurnia route, prep for Rennala.

Phase 3 — Liurnia & Respec

Academy, build lock-in, then south to Caelid.

  1. 11. Beat Rennala

    Unlocks respec at the Academy.

  2. 12. Respec

    Larval Tears + commit to a build direction.

  3. 13. After Rennala

    Gear up and prepare for the Caelid push.

  4. 14. Caelid Survival

    Scarlet rot cures, safe roads, Redmane access.

Phase 4 — Radahn & Beyond

Festival boss, then Nokron / Altus options.

  1. 15. Beat Radahn

    Starscourge festival — summons are intended.

  2. 16. After Radahn

    Nokron access, Altus routes, power targets.

  3. 17. Ranni Questline

    Spoiler-light Age of Stars / night path order.

  4. 18. Reach Altus

    Dectus Lift or Ruin-Strewn Precipice.

Phase 5 — Late Game & DLC

Capital-tier power, then Shadow of the Erdtree when ready.

  1. 19. Beat Morgott

    Leyndell capital shardbearer — holy / cursed blade fight.

  2. 20. Malenia (optional)

    Late-game skill check and Waterfowl practice.

  3. 21. Shadow of the Erdtree

    When to start, Mohg entry, Scadutree prep.
